Talk about rotten timing. I lived in New Orleans for nine yearsin crappy apartments. I'm in my own house for three weeks, six months pregnant and the big one's going to hit!

Re: Hurricane Katrina
Sun, September 18, 2005 - 11:47 AMI'm out. We left the day before she hit.
We've been hopping between my mother's pop-up trailer in Tennessee and Joe's folks' guest bedroom in New Jersey.
Unfortunately, it seems Saint Bernard Parish (new house and all our possessions included) was completely wiped out. They're letting residents of our area back in on the 29th and 30th to try to salvage some items and do the insurance assement. I need to be the one to go but am told that it's too dangerous with the pregnancy.
I just want to go HOME! :( -

Mon, September 19, 2005 - 6:50 AMI'm very sorry to hear that. But I'm glad that you got out safe and sound.
How's the Red Cross treating you and other charities? We've been raising funds for them but we want to make sure it's actually getting to you.

Sun, October 16, 2005 - 8:29 PMYep. Lost absolutely EVERYTHING, too.
Currently staying in South Jersey, near Philly.
Thank you SO much for all the fundraising the band has been doing for Katrina victims. It's going to take so much time and money before we all can even begin to get our lives back.
